History

History

The theater building was constructed in 1935 through funding from Xhavit Bej Biçakçiu as a gift to the city, with the design attributed to architect Halit Narazani. The professional theater institution itself was officially established on July 16, 1962, building upon Elbasan's earlier tradition of amateur theater societies and school productions.
