One of the most important natural attractions of Albania.

The park stretches across the Dajti mountain range, where limestone peaks, deep valleys, and extensive forests create a varied landscape. Oak woodlands dominate the lower elevations, while beech forests and conifers become more common higher up. The protected area supports a wide range of wildlife, including wild boar, foxes, wolves, European wildcats, and many bird species.

Visitors come for hiking, mountain biking, picnics, and scenic viewpoints overlooking Tirana. One of the park's best-known attractions is the Dajti Ekspres cable car, which climbs from the city's eastern edge to the Fusha e Dajtit plateau, offering expansive views across the capital and surrounding mountains. Restaurants, walking trails, and family recreation areas make it a year-round destination.

Originally protected in the 1960s, the park has expanded over time and today covers more than 28,500 hectares under IUCN Category II protection. Beyond its ecological importance, it is often called the "Natural Balcony of Tirana" because of its sweeping vistas and its role as the city's closest major mountain escape.
