The mountain forms the centerpiece of Tomorr Mountain National Park, a protected area known for limestone cliffs, alpine meadows, forests of beech, pine, and fir, and panoramic views across south-central Albania. Wildlife in the park includes species such as brown bears, wolves, foxes, and numerous birds of prey, making it an important biodiversity reserve.

Cultural and Spiritual Importance

Tomorr is often called Albania’s “sacred mountain.” In Albanian folklore, it is associated with Baba Tomorri, a legendary guardian figure who symbolizes strength, protection, and the natural world. The mountain has been revered for centuries and remains one of the country's most important spiritual sites.
