Muzeu i Dibrës is a regional history and ethnography museum in Peshkopi that preserves the cultural heritage of the Dibër region. Housed in a historic two-story building in the city center, it is one of the area's most important cultural institutions, presenting local history from prehistoric times through the modern era.
Collections and Exhibits

The museum is organized around three main pavilions: Archaeology, History, and Ethnography. Its collections include artifacts dating from the Early Neolithic period to the Middle Ages, alongside exhibits that document the social, political, and cultural development of Dibër. More than 2,000 objects are displayed across the museum's galleries.
Archaeological Heritage

The archaeology section showcases tools, weapons, pottery, stone axes, spearheads, and other finds discovered at sites across the Dibër region, including Çetush, Burim, Çidhen, Topojan, and Grezhdan. These objects provide evidence of human settlement and activity spanning thousands of years, from prehistory through medieval times.
Ethnography and Local Culture

The museum's largest pavilion focuses on traditional Dibra life. Exhibits include folk costumes, gold-threaded vests, musical instruments, wooden and ceramic household items, textiles, cradles, and furnishings associated with the traditional oda e miqve (guest room). Together, these displays illustrate the customs, craftsmanship, and daily life of the region.
Historical Significance

The history pavilion highlights influential figures connected with Dibër and their role in Albanian national history. Exhibits explore the lives and activities of personalities such as Iliaz Pashë Dibra, Haxhi Vehbi Dibra, Elez Isuf Ndreu, Haxhi Lleshi, and others who shaped the region's political and cultural identity.
